Do you offer services for both the household and business customer?

Are there moving trucks available to use?
We have a Free Courtesy Van for your move in and we rent our own trucks only to our rental customers when they move out.

How long are the rental agreements?
Our leases are month-to-month.

How much notice do I have to give you when I move out?
Just give us 5 days’ notice so we know when you are moving out.

What are the gate hours?
Our gate is open 24/7/365. Just enter your personal security code. Our system will record your entry, disarm your unit’s individual alarm and our cameras will observe you and the grounds for your safety. Our lights are motion activated as well.

What are your office hours?
Our managers are on duty M-F 8:30 to 5:30 and Saturday 9:00 to 1:00.

Do you have a moving service?
No, but we can recommend reputable local movers.

What unit sizes are available?
We have over 700 units between our two facilities – 500+ at Southern Pines alone.
We offer every type of storage imaginable including, drive-up, climate controlled, inside non-climate, mobile and records archive.

What size unit do I need?
Our managers are the most experienced in the Sandhills. If you're not sure, our expert managers can assist you in determining the right size. Just give us a brief description of what will be stored and we'll help you determine how much space is needed.

Can I buy boxes and other packing products at a Carolina Storage Center?
Yes. Both of our facilities offer a wide variety of boxes and packing supplies. Please check out our inventory and remember our rental customers always receive a 10% discount.

Do you have moving carts available?
We maintain an inventory of "push carts" that may be used free of charge. If you find yourself renting an inside unit and need a push cart, please let the Store Manager know and they will be happy to assist you.

Do you have video cameras?
Both of our facilities use video cameras as a security measure. Cameras are located throughout the facilities – some are hidden and all are digitally recorded.


Can anybody drive onto this property or do you need a PIN number?
Both of our facilities have an electronic gate system which can only be opened by a security code that is assigned to each individual tenant. All entries and exits are recorded by our gate system.


What is climate control?
Climate control is a feature that we offer at both of our facilities. Our climate controlled units are maintained at temperatures of 60 to 80 degrees. This feature helps protect your stored belongings from the extreme temperatures.

What is a roll-up door?
Roll-up doors are the most common door in self-storage – just like your garage door except that they have sliding lockable latches. A few of our units have swing doors.

Do I get a lock when I rent a unit?
Southern Pines: We offer a variety of sizes and types of locks.

Vass: Our Vass facility only uses cylinder locks – the most secure used in the industry. We provide a cylinder lock and three keys with your $15.00 set-up fee.

Do you offer RV/boat/car/motorcycle parking?
Yes, we offer assigned parking at both locations. Our US Highway 1 locations offer very convenient easy on- easy off access.

What is a drive-up unit?
A drive-up unit is a first floor outside unit. Some customers prefer the convenience of loading your belongings directly from a vehicle or truck.

How far in advance can I book a reservation?
We give you the flexibility to book a reservation up to 30 days in advance to help you plan ahead. A deposit is required.

What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?
An outdoor unit has access from outside. An indoor unit is within the property and will require you to go inside to access your unit. Each has its advantages. Outdoor units allow loading and unloading directly from your vehicle. Inside units have the benefit of having less dust and because our inside units, while not air conditioned or heated, are insulted and maintain a much more consistent temperature than outside units.

How secure are your facilities?
We have always been very security conscious. We feature electronic gate with keypad access, monitored video surveillance, fenced and well-lit facilities and individual door alarms.

What are the payment terms?
Typically, our leases are month-to-month but we also offer the flexibility of long-term leases, which generally afford discounts. We also offer AutoPay. We can automatically charge your MasterCard®, Visa®, Discover®, or American Express® each month.

Do you accept credit cards?
We accept several major credit cards, including MasterCard®, Visa®, Discover®, or American Express®.
